Voice Assist can add to Filavia Oplà dispenser the functionality of voice command control to provide easier access for users with disabilities. Compared to the traditional model this dispenser is equipped with additional hardware needed for this special feature:
  • Speakers for giving voice feedback
  • Proximity sensor with adjustable sensitivity
  • Unidirectional microphones system at different heights
By approaching the dispenszer within 0,5mt and after a configured delay without any normal use on touch screen, Voice Assist activate and using TTS (Text To Speech) plays the following text:

"This dispenser is provided with voice support for easy access: pronounce clearly ''YES'' if you wish to activate it".

The keywords are recognized through an ASR system (Automatic Speech Recognition) and matched with a series of possbiles affirmative choices ( i.e. "YES", "ALLRIGHT", "OK", etc.) or negative ("NO""DON'T NEED""NEGATIVE" etc.) to allow confirmation or to cancel the procedure. If the system recognize and affirmative keyword it will speak a message of selection like this:

"Now the available services will be listed: at the end of each single service say ''YES'' to select it. Every service will be indicated with a number: in every moment you can directly select the service through his number".

If an affirmative commmand is detected, Voice Assist starts to list services the way they are listed on the screen precedendo with the corresponding cardinal number and waiting a little delay for a possible voice selection. As an example messages could be:

"ONE: Ambulatorial service" pause i.e. 3 secs
"TWO: Reservations" pause i.e. 3 secs
If an affirmative commmand is detected:

"You have selected ''One: Ambulatorial service''. Confirm with ''YES'' or else say ''NO'' if it is not correct."

If an affirmative commmand is detected, Voice speak the "Message of ticket printing" like:

"Ticket printing in progress: the ticket number for your selection is: A 123. Your number will be shown on the counter display and announced by the waiting room speaker system; follow the beep to reach the destination counter."

Voice assist has fiinshed his job and goes idle waiting for the next activation condition.

The final pronunciation of the ticket number along with the waiting room voice call and counter beeps make the system available even for visually impaired people.
